Why I chose immunotherapy
My path to immunotherapy is not only professional—it is deeply personal.
I am a mother of three, and our family’s health journey shaped the direction of my clinical focus. My children were born with complex immune-mediated conditions, including Food Protein–Induced Enterocolitis Syndrome (FPIES) and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS). From birth, they faced significant challenges, and our family spent years seeking answers and effective care.
Discovering Immunotherapy
After extensive medical evaluations and exploring all available conventional treatment options, our family reached a place where meaningful improvement was difficult to find—even with exceptional support from specialists.
Through a pediatric support community, I learned about low-dose immunotherapy (LDI). In an effort to improve my children’s quality of life, we pursued this approach under the guidance of an experienced clinician. The experience gave me valuable perspective on immunotherapy and its potential role in immune-focused care.
Personal Experience With Immunotherapy
I also have personal experience being treated with immunotherapy as part of my own care for allergies and autoimmune conditions. This personal perspective allows me to approach patient care with empathy, clarity, and respect for the complex ways that immune-related conditions can affect daily life.
Professional Training in LDI
This journey sparked my professional interest in immunotherapy and immune-focused care. Motivated to responsibly offer this approach to others, I completed specialized training under the same physician who treated my children and myself. This training, combined with my clinical background, allows me to bring this form of immunotherapy into my own medical practice with the goal of helping those who’ve experienced similar challenges.
“I believe nothing happens in vain. The path I walked led me here, shaping who I am today—as a person, as a mother, and as a medical provider.”
