About Kristin Oden, PA-C

I’m Kristin Oden, PA-C, founder of Aurora Immunotherapy & Wellness. I am a board-certified Physician Assistant with more than 14 years of clinical experience across family medicine, urgent care, and orthopedics.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of caring for patients with a wide range of health concerns. But it was my experience outside the exam room, as a mother searching for answers for my own children, that ultimately changed the way I thought about medicine and set me on the path to creating Aurora.

When Healthcare Becomes Personal

As a mother of three, I experienced firsthand what it feels like when your family’s health becomes complicated.

My children were born with conditions including Food Protein–Induced Enterocolitis Syndrome (FPIES) and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS). We worked with skilled specialists, pursued extensive testing, and tried conventional treatment approaches, yet meaningful improvement was often difficult to achieve.

I understood medicine. I knew how to navigate the healthcare system. And still, I experienced the same frustration, uncertainty, and exhaustion that so many patients and families feel when the answers aren’t clear.

That experience changed me, not only as a mother, but as a medical provider.

Discovering Another Approach

Through a pediatric support community, I was introduced to Low Dose Immunotherapy (LDI). Eventually, my family began working with a physician experienced in this approach.

The experience opened my eyes to a different way of thinking about care, one that looked closely at the individual patient, recognized that the same approach may not work for everyone, and was willing to consider another path when conventional options had not provided the progress we hoped for.

I later experienced immunotherapy as a patient myself, further shaping my understanding of what it feels like to navigate chronic health concerns from both sides of the exam room.

What began as a search for answers for my family ultimately became a turning point in my professional life.

A Different Vision for Patient Care

My family’s experience ultimately changed the kind of provider I wanted to be.

I became increasingly drawn to an approach that creates room to listen, look at the bigger picture, educate patients about their options, and develop treatment plans around the individual rather than simply following a predetermined path.

That philosophy led me to pursue additional training, including specialized training in Low Dose Immunotherapy under the same physician who treated my family. It also continued to shape my interests in metabolic health, weight management, inflammation, and other areas where individualized care can make a meaningful difference.

Over time, that vision became Aurora Immunotherapy & Wellness.

Why I Created Aurora

I created Aurora for patients who want something increasingly difficult to find in healthcare: time to be heard, clear education about their options, and a treatment plan built around them.

Aurora isn't centered around a single medication or treatment. It's built around a way of practicing medicine.

Whether I'm working with someone exploring immunotherapy, pursuing metabolic weight management, or looking more closely at metabolic inflammation, my approach remains the same: understand the person first, explain the options honestly, individualize the plan, and continue to adjust as we learn what works for them.

Our commitment is simple: We listen first, educate always, personalize every plan, and partner with you every step of the way.

“I believe nothing happens in vain. The path I walked led me here, shaping who I am today, as a person, as a mother, and as a medical provider. Today, my work is focused on helping others who may feel stuck or out of options understand that their current situation may not be the only path forward.”
