For questions about a specific treatment or program, visit the FAQ section on the individual service page.
Getting Started
-
You don't need to know which treatment or program you need before reaching out. If you're unsure where to start, tell us a little about your health concerns, goals, and what you're hoping to accomplish. We'll help you determine which Aurora service, if any, may be the most appropriate next step.
-
No. A referral from another healthcare provider is not required to schedule with Aurora.
-
Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to understand your health history, current concerns, previous treatments, medications, and goals. We'll discuss which options may be appropriate, answer your questions, and outline recommended next steps.
The exact structure may vary depending on the program you're considering.
Appointments & Telehealth
-
Aurora is a telehealth practice, so appointments are conducted virtually through a secure video platform. This allows you to meet with your provider from the comfort of your home while receiving individualized medical care and ongoing follow-up.
-
Aurora currently provides telehealth care to eligible patients located in North Carolina. We are actively expanding our ability to provide care in additional states and will update this page as new locations become available.
-
Your care at Aurora is provided by Kristin Oden, PA-C, founder of Aurora Immunotherapy & Wellness. Kristin personally conducts your consultations, develops your treatment plan, and provides your ongoing clinical care and follow-up.
-
Appointments can be scheduled online through Aurora's secure patient portal. Select the service you're interested in and choose an available appointment time that works for you.
If you're unsure which service to schedule, contact us first and we'll help guide you.
-
You can cancel or reschedule your appointment directly through the patient portal. If you don't see another appointment time that works for your schedule, send us a message through the portal and we'll be happy to see if we can accommodate your needs.
Payment & Insurance
-
Aurora is a direct-pay practice and does not bill insurance for clinical services. This allows us to provide care through a model centered on thoughtful evaluation, patient education, individualized treatment, and ongoing support.
Any costs associated with your program will be clearly explained before you begin treatment.
-
Laboratory costs vary by program and are generally separate from consultation or treatment fees unless otherwise stated. Any recommended testing and associated costs will be discussed with you before labs are ordered.
-
This varies by program. Some Aurora programs include prescribed medication in the published monthly treatment price, while other treatments or medications may be billed separately.
Visit the individual service page for program-specific pricing and details about what's included.
During Your Care
-
Established patients can communicate with Aurora through the secure patient portal for non-urgent questions related to their care.
The portal should not be used for emergencies or urgent medical concerns.
-
No. Aurora provides focused care within the programs we offer and is not intended to replace your primary care provider.
We encourage patients to maintain an ongoing relationship with a primary care provider for routine preventive care, general medical needs, and concerns outside the scope of their Aurora treatment.
-
With your permission and when appropriate, relevant information can be shared with other members of your healthcare team to support continuity of care.
